BeingSync - new curatorial platform

BeingSync is a non-profit platform grounded in community-based, research-led practice. It has been created by MRes alumni Di Wang. It brings together curators, artists, and cultural practitioners across disciplines to explore questions of identity, diaspora, and collaboration through exhibitions, public programming, and dialogue.

While it began from Di's own lived experience as part of the East and Southeast Asian diaspora, the platform’s scope is intentionally open—fostering broader, cross-cultural exchange and creative solidarity.

The platform is committed to supporting curators, artists, and researchers working across China and the UK -creating more opportunities for work, learning, and exchange - and to facilitating meaningful, cross-border collaboration.

Di's research at RCA focused on ecofeminism and performance art, and these themes have continued to guide her curatorial thinking. The first three exhibitions on the BeingSync platform have all explored these concerns in depth—bridging theoretical inquiry with embodied, collaborative practice.

The spirit of critical research, interdisciplinarity, and care fostered within the MRes programme has been foundational to the development of this initiative.
